My speculation is as good as anyone's right now, so ...No, it shall not be very de riguer
The way J. K. Rowling will transfigure
Poor Harry Potter, from deathly clay
To fired White, like Gandalf the Grey!

And, yes, you are supposed to mispronounce "de rigeur" to rhyme with "transfigure".
