1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Certain types of recreation, went to San Fransisco, wrote the first rent check of my life, had my first job.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I never take these seriously.

Our family friend lost a baby :(

No.

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
More autonomy, less apathy about school.
7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
So many memories, but considering where my head is right now, Oct. 15th was a pretty fucking awesome day/night.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Taking care of the girls over the summer.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Finding a job at school, parents supporting me, being lazy.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Been to the hospital a couple of times.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Digital camera.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
This question sucks. Mine.

This question also sucks. Mine.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Clothes, food, rent, bills.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
My trips to visit friends' colleges were exciting, as well as the San Fransisco road trip and the Canada trip. Moving into the house was exciting, meeting someone was exciting, and friends have been exciting.
16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
Anything by the Postal Service.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Definitely happier. My first year at Evergreen was great, and life in the dorms was crazy fun. But since this time last year, I've become more stable, and more complete as a person.
ii. thinner or fatter? Um. Go away, question.
iii. richer or poorer? Poorer.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Exercise. And more adventures/leaving the house.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Nothing really.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Celebrating Hannukah with my family. We've all been too busy, and Christmas is the only day we can all get together in all of our Jewish glory (ps this question sucks as well).
21. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
Either in Vancouver, or scrambing to find new roommates if they aren't already interviewed and chosen.

It's been a confusing year. For sure.

Enough.

Sex and the City, hands down. Dead Like Me, Friends, 30-Minute Meals, Real Time w/ Bill Maher, Daily Show.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Oh yes.
26. What was the best book you read?
The World According to Garp, Into The Wild, 1984 & Brave New World, Wonder Boys, The Da Vinci Code. I like The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, so far.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Anything that Tracy has sent me.
28. What did you want and get?
Somebody to cuddle with. And more friends.
29. What did you want and not get?
There was a long spell of not getting what I wanted.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Garden State, to be trite. If Eternal Sunshine came out this year, then that. Team America: World Police was awesome, I <3 Huckabees, Before Sunset.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 19. I had a party at my house in Seattle and passed out around 11. Ross took mean pictures of me. I woke up and regretted everything because there were so many people that I loved there, and I missed out on it.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
A job to pay the bills on my own. Also, having a professor that I really connect with.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
I got less hippie, but I still dress normal very rarely.
34. What kept you sane?
My parents, my brother and sister, my friends. Maya and Jana. I didn't latch onto anything academically (yet) so people have been highly influential lately.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Jude Law, Kirsten Dunst, the Gyllenhaals, Johnny Depp.

Anyone who wasn't in Olympia/Seattle with me.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
That's a little heavy for 6am. But mostly, I've been trying to gain perspective and be less analytical and less egocentric. Take different perspectives to keep from losing sight of your own.
