This is the month of communication. Because I say so.
Anyway, there are a few things I have to say about The Favorite Shows.
Whitechapel season 3 so far
I love the new concept of this series. The first series was quite good, the second not so much, because it was way too slow spaced at times, especially the second episode. The new concept really works for me, though. We get six episodes this series and one case for every two episodes. Doesn't drag stuff out, and really, it's what we're all used to. While I enjoy 90 minutes per episode, it really is a bit hard for me to watch for some reason. I can watch 2x 45 mins episodes just fine (actually I could and did watch a whole season of 45 mins episodes one after the other), but they're mostly not about the same case. And the spacing is mostly made for 45 minutes episodes. If that makes any sense.
So yeah, it definitely works for me better this way.
Also time flies it seems. In the second episode Miles' wife was just pregnant, now she already has the baby. :]
Which brings me to the plot, or better the character interactions. Because how adorable is Chandler? I can't with him. Even though his OCD and clean-freakishness sometimes is very random, like he needs to clean up, but he goes into the house and climbs through the dirt in the third episode without so much as a flinch.
And this series it seems they want to throw women at him. Although the first one was really cruel. I laughed a lot when I saw her flat. It must've been such a nightmare for him. Very entertaining. I don't know about the second woman. I don't think it'll work out. There's something fishy about her. She's ... I don't know. She's very rough on everyone who's not her rank, while Chandler respects the men and women and values their point of view.
I still hope he gets together with Kent, because that'd be brilliant. And lets face it. Kent is in so much love. I don't think you can call it hero worshipping anymore. It might've began that way, but that boy is way too invested in Chandler.
And it's quite ironic, that Chandler resigned himself to a life alone, because he thinks no one would ever accept his various quirks and OCDs, and then there's Kent, who accepts his various quirks and OCDs and tries to help him. Actually help him, by doing stuff for him, like cleaning up the office after everyone has already gone home. So there's that.
And Miles. Miles. Best friend ever or what? Miles should just set Chandler up with Kent. Yes.
Hawaii Five-0 (spoilers for the latest minimum)
Okay, look. I love this show still. The plot is disastrous at best, really. Most of the stuff they come up with. Ugh. I can't not make fun of this show for that. "Where did he get the milk?" "I answer to the governor and God!" "YOU CALL ME SIR!" Seriously, who comes up with shit like that?
But the truth is, I love the characters. I love them all so much. And yes, this did include Lori more or less. Sadly, they didn't do very much with her. Or anything at all. She could've been a really good profiler for them. The writers could've used her really good, but no.
So now she resigned. I don't know. Is she really gone now? She won't be in the next episode at least. And I can't help but hate TPTB even more for that whole "Let's bring in a new female blond woman, who will have hot sex with Steve! Don't care about her character or what she'll actually do on the team! Let's do it!" and then realizing that they've somehow horribly failed. Yeah, didn't see that one coming, huh.
Well, anyway. The characters are still awesome. I like the Steve/Cath relationship. They're quite cute together. Maybe because we don't see that much of it. Or any other relationship outside of Five-0. But that's okay, because I quite like it to be about the team.
Oh hey. And then there's New Girl
Jess is very weird in a good way. Schmidt is an adorable idiot. Vincent is awesome. And yeah, whatever so I have a type, and Nick is exactly it.
And I might've watched those 12 episodes in 24 hours and then the next day again. *insert Nick's turtle face here*
