Hey ladies and gents!
Otakon is fast approaching (3 weeks and counting <3) and I'd love to know who of our tmrevolutionist family is going to the convention :D

I think the thing that we all need to keep in mind about Otakon is that (in comparison to 10 years ago) this is a HUGE convention and they have a very high respect for their guests and the ability that they are able to do with their schedules. Granted, this could lead to some annoying circumstances in terms of the autograph session/concert line up, but they are going to do their best in working out what works for Takanori and what fans can do to meet him.
What is also unfortunate is the lack of activity the international division of Winds-Turbo has had with the fanbase at large in the past few years. At NYCC there was a lot more active work to make the hardcore fans get in line early, get good spots, etc. Since that aspect of the fandom has died down in the past couple of years, the group of us that are determined to spend an awesome Takanori filled weekend are gonna have to work really hard at it but at the same time, for the respect of the awesome Otakon staff, keep our cool.
I've been going to Otakon for ten years and have been lucky in having a FANTASTIC experience with every single aspect of the con in that span of time. But a lot of that has to due with my own mental mindset that I take everything in a "glass is half full" sort of view. I think if we all try our best in what is allowed to be in line early, have a positive attitude and to not get angry at Otakon (unless they do something really stupid, which I doubt!)
We have to remember that we are getting to see Takanori live, again, in the USA. We might not get up close as easily as we would like to (or maybe we will) or have a chance to talk to him, but the fact that we are going to get to see him live, period, is outstanding. And since Takanori is my favorite singer in the whole world, even if I don't get to be as close as I would like to be, the fact that I am even THAT near his presence makes me happy.
So let's hope Otakon gets there stuff together and either way: LET'S PLAN TO HAVE THE BEST .... TIME..... EVER !!! *CONFETTI*
Also, for everyone, I do plan to organize a meet-up for us once the schedule is posted/make sure it won't conflict with other plans :)

That being said, I still think the random selection autographing is unfair. I was more than prepared to wait in lines but if I hear "you're not selected; don't even bother showing up", it's quite disheartening.
But overall, yes, let's hope for the best time ever!!
