I know some of these seem ridiculous, but if it's the avenue to apply for a job sometimes I end up there.

Group Interview = 1

Phone Conversations = 2

In Person Interviews with a Temp Agency = 1

Temp Agency Call Backs = 3

Employment Trends (interview), Bolywelch (just asked me questions), Resource Staffing (couldn't take job as required a car)

Letters of Qualification = 8

Letters requesting pre-interview questions and applications to be faxed = 2

Since last month I've applied for about 40 more jobs. I've re-discovered PSU's alumnus Career Connect Experience as a job search tool. I've had the opportunity to call upon two more friends as personal references. Thank you if you've shouted my name to a recruiting entity or passed along any job openings to me. I really think in this climate we've got to use social networking as much as we can. I've gotten another recommendation from one of the principals of the company I recently worked for on LinkedIn with an invitation to call her as another reference. I've had three more letters of qualification and five more "thanks for applying, but..." notificaitons. No more new interviews. In fact, I still haven't heard definitely if the last two interviews are "thanks for applying, but..." situations.

Still at it.

*sigh*
