Today I went to see the dermatologist about this on-going rash I've had since about July. What is it about me and getting to be the patient that's used to either demonstrate a gynecological exam to an intern (twice), or to get to bare her chest to the head of dermatology who's doing a physician observation? Sigh. They're lucky I don't take myself very seriously.
Anyway, the doctor wanted me to get some blood tests done to make sure I don't have hepatitis or thyroid malfunction or a host of other things. So I went downstairs to the blood lab - and was very impressed by the streamlined operations! (No pun intended.) Yup, I can't help myself. It's a hazard of my profession, it seems.
Luckily, I was already slightly dizzy going into it, and they only had to take FIVE vials of blood. That totally helped with that.
In the evening, we got to see my old college roommate C, who is in town for a conference. Was really nice to see her and catch up! Anyone's in the greater Bay Area, let us know! :D
