Our whirlwind weekend (shortened for some by travel karma) is over, so I made one last visit to Grandma. I thought I'd take pictures of the decorations my mom's cousin put up, so the others (and now the entire world) can see them.

The pumpkin is filled with candy, a clever ploy to get foot traffic into the room so Grandma can have more human interaction.

Let me introduce you to the "scourge" of visiting Hawaii: everyone gives you stuff to take home. For once, I came prepared. This is a full-sized suitcase. A "I'm going home to Germany in winter for 3 weeks" size suitcase. This suitcase is full of things I didn't buy. I take it back. I bought the hanafuda cards. That's it. It's crazy, crazy, crazy stuff!!

Also, migraine? Still here. I'm taking the damn Vicodin as soon as the rental car is out of my hands!!

travel, gifts, hawaii
