Look! A shawl! And, even better, it's for sale!
Specifically, I've already hit some of you up for donations to a Suicide Prevention Walk a number of us are doing in a few weeks. I was working on this shawl while I was in Hawaii, with no real intended recipient. So, I decided to take a page out of the Yarn Harlot's
book and offer the shawl up to whoever offers me the highest price for it. Email or otherwise contact me if you're interested! The yarn is 100% merino wool, and it's by the German dyer whose yarn is so hard to get in the US I made my parents go on a
special trip to the store. The other pictures we took somehow didn't...take, but here are ones I from when I was blocking it.
In fact, I am extending the knitting for good offer further. For $75, I will knit you a pair of socks. For $125 you get a shawl of your choosing. Double those prices if you want handspun yarn, too. And, thanks to
loopylape, we're also adding a $50 if you want lots of beading in your shawl. If you've already donated, then you can just augment your donation to get to the price.
So - who's in??? I'm sure that, even if you yourself wouldn't wear such a thing, you've got mothers or grandmothers or significant others who would love it/them...
The walk is September 23, so let's make the deadline midnight (my time) September 22. Thank you in advance!!
