Project 365, 2nd ed.: October 13, 2009
As predicted, today's weather is baaaaad. As in, we didn't go over 20mph on the entire span of the bridge today, and that was at 6:30am. I can't even imagine what it would've been like during real rush hour. Everyone and everything got soaked, including the ground. And - oops. Look what happened! This is not a small tree. Luckily, no one was hurt. (Apparently, there was a girl under it when it fell, but she was completely unharmed.)
- there's more. This tree is about to fall. It hadn't by the time I left, but they're fully expecting it to. Which made me wonder why they couldn't do something preventative rather than just waiting. At any rate, we had to close the computer lab because it was in the direct line of fire. (To give you a sense of scale, our building is 3 stories high, the tree is quite a bit taller than the building.)
