(no subject)
i think this journal is dead as of 2005. it's been a year and a half. which is way longer than i expected, considering i started it because i was bored one day. but yeah, i don't really care about what i write, no one comments, and for good reason. at this point all i've been doing is talking about music. this is not because music is the only thing going on my life, but more because it is the easiest thing to write about, for me. i haven't written a genuinely good thoughtful rant in months, and i think that's just because it isn't really all that fun for me to write in my LJ anymore. which would explain why the quality has deteriorated into "hey, check out this band. yeah. i'm bored. wahoo." this month i cared so little about LJ that i forgot to even mention that there is a new Quotes Hall of Fame. how lame of me.
however, since it seems like it is still really easy for me to talk about music, and i still enjoy doing that, even if my rantings and fears and all that emo bullshit aren't as fun for me to write about as they used to be. so i've started with a clean slate:
Table Donkeys
that is my new attempt at a music-themed blog there. if it falls through, not a big deal. but i like talking about the music i listen to, and it's fun to document my music history. and it's also kind of cool that i might introduce people to some new bands if they start reading it. good stuff.
in any case, i will keep this LJ up for as long as it wants to be, since i like having the convenient 'friends' page to keep up on other peoples' journals...also for the possible scenario that i decide to do a rant or something again. hey, it's possible...7 months after giving up working on MIDI files, i did a new one...then i did yet another new one like a year after that.
so yes. just in case this is never updated again, the last 1.5 years have been fun on this LJ, and there are some good rants and happy memories in there. despite the occasional month or two when i would basically never update. but now, i'm bored, so i think i'm going to go watch elf, because charles left it over here and i haven't seen it before. sweet.
