MySpace Sucks (You In)

Aug 27, 2006 19:56

Hello all you livejournalists.

I've neglected this little patch of literary exposition because I've been off playing at the internet playground for teenagers, MySpace.

If you've been paying at least a little attention, you know what MySpace is.

Thing is...it's so nice having a site where (mostly) people wear their own faces, even if they've turned them black and white (or worse). It's as close to talking to someone as you can get for free.

I mean, I know people love it for other reasons, but quite honestly, that's my reason. I don't need to comment people's pages, or send them special MySpace messages, and this is as good as any "blog".

Anyway, the news is: I bought an unusual book today. The Book of Lists. Published by Disinformation.

It has things like "Ten Oldest Classified Files in the FBI library" or "People who've died at Disneyland".

Bizarre, yet fascinating.
