proximity to now
While reviewing business strategies, a co-worker turned up this gem from San Francisco State University's Executive MBA Program. Selected highlights:
"The postsecondary knowledge industry relies on a heterogeneous set of organizational change strategies."
Graduate study requires you to be flexible.
"... the present is simply history in close proximity to now ..."
Buh? That's not simple. "History includes the present" is simple.
The department head may be a fine MBA professor, but this mission statement could use some review by a high school English teacher. Randall Munroe is onto something big.
