Obey God
I've just gotten out of another low in my relationship with God. It was a terrible time where I wanted so bad to get my relationship with Him back but couldn't. Sin was winning. I was living life for myself, just trying to survive through finals and christmas at work. Someone said on the radio one day "Never give in, Never give in, Never give in." Then someone said obey Him. That is such a simple thing but that is what got me out. Just obey God! I don't need to be rebellious and waste all my energies trying to fight against God, just obey and use energy for Him. I have the relationship with God again and can hear His voice again. I went to church on Sunday, visited a church that my best friend Luke goes to when he is home from college. It came time for the offering and I had some money. God said, "Put it in." I said OK. My friend told me "You don't have to put anything in since you are visiting. I did anyways. Then I went to visit my grandma and she gave me some money for my birthday that was a couple weeks back. Then I went to dinner with my mom and she gave very generously to me! Obeying God isn't so bad you know, but it has to be immediate. There should be no thinking about it or contemplating. God points and I go. It is so wonderful to have a personal relationship with our savior! So that's the word for today: OBEY.
