A Field Trip Announcement

Jun 20, 2008 01:23

Okay, just so you know, this is the absolute last day that you can sign up to come on the field trip. I've heard from almost everyone, but if you haven't signed up (and picked a group if you're going into grades 11 and 12 in the fall) you won't be able to go on the trip.

We will be leaving at 8:30 AM on Saturday. Yes, that's in the morning. There won't be assigned busses, but whatever bus you take to the park will be the bus you take back from the park. Once we get there, we'll be giving everyone their tickets which you must keep with you while you're there. We will also be going over the Park and Safari rules in greater detail, but here are the basics:

Follow all regulations while you're at the park. For your convenience, here are the policies for Six Flags and Wild Safari and Hurricane Harbor. Please also check out the pdf. To these, I will add the following:
1. Do not get into fights, either with other people at the park or with each other.
2. DO NOT USE YOUR POWERS. This is the biggie: we haven't declared ourselves as a mutant group and while Six Flags doesn't require us to, we still would rather they don't find out because they would probably demand several thousands' of dollars in insurance money. So to simplify things: no powers.
3. Stay with your chaperone (underclassmen) or with your group (upperclassmen). If we see you underclassmen wandering off, they will wait with the busses. Upperclassmen found wandering by themselves will be spending the rest of the trip with the underclassmen in chaperoned groups.
4. Except for while you are actually on the ride, you are required to have your X-Kick with you at all times! We've made special arrangements for the Kicks to be held with park employees while you're riding in a group, though if someone in your group doesn't want to go on a particular ride, it's best to leave it with them. I recommend you either put your name on the outside of your X-Kick, or else make your wallpaper something unique so that it's easy to tell them apart and we don't have people mixing their X-Kicks up.
5. Listen to park employees and teachers.
6. Do not feed, taunt or otherwise harm the animals, Jared.
Anyone who is found breaking these rules will be ejected from the park. This means you will be staying on the bus in the parking lot for the duration of the trip - and we plan to be at Six Flags until 10:00 at night. If you think this might happen to you, I recommend you bring a book to help you pass the time. If I receive word that you are giving the bus drivers trouble, then I will be going out there to chaperone you. And believe me: nobody wants that.

If you have any questions, please ask one of us or post it here, I'll answer everything I can. Looking forward to a fun and safe trip tomorrow!

Ms. Grey
