Yay! The mystery revealed - a little, anyway. There is still so much to be discovered. Poor little Bruce, crying for his kidnapper and thinking he's lost his parents again.

I love your Bruce in this. He's so principled, even when he's being his non-hero self. He's so smart and his brain is always working - the stream of thoughts while he pulls into the cave (thinking of his obligations, ways to hide his alternate identity, improvements to the cave) and gets ready for the charity is a perfect example of how he never rests.

"...stomach that had gotten more and more finicky over the months as his charade as The Batman of Gotham City had progressed." Hee! Does poor Bruce have ulcers? Or is he just stressed out? This is a nice little humanizing detail.

"The next thing under production would be some sort of signaling device for Alfred, he decided as the darkness closed over him-either that or he really needed to consider taking on a partner." Awesome. He's just so matter-of-fact and calm, even in the face of unknown danger.

"Bruce got in a few good kids to her stomach and chest, but with his limbs so short and scrawny, and still mostly bound, it was a losing battle." I think you mean kicks, not kids.

Thank you very much for the edit. I made that change yesterday, right after you commented, and did very much appreciate the save. :))

>>I love your Bruce in this. He's so principled, even when he's being his non-hero self.

This is my Batman-lite version of Bruce. LOL Early in his career, without the dark edges. I guess he's more movieverse than recent comicverse, but it definitely is a relief to write him in a less conflicted way.

>>Hee! Does poor Bruce have ulcers? Or is he just stressed out? This is a nice little humanizing detail.

I figured if he spent his evening throwing himself off buildings, he'd have a hard time keeping food down. LOL Plus all the stress. I like little things that show that it's not *easy* being a superhero.

>>Awesome. He's just so matter-of-fact and calm, even in the face of unknown danger.

I always thought Batman would have to have nerves of steel. LOL

Thanks so much for reading, dearest. I do very much appreciate it. :hugs:
