Saving this for later, yay! :D I have a distinct fondness for accidental/forced bonding fics.

Well...don't get your hopes up, LOL. This story needs more...of a story to actually work right.

I see what you mean, I felt like I'd somehow skipped a chapter between the end of the main body and the epilogue. ^^

Still an enjoyable read though! :D

Ah, Bruce. Never easy to bond with a Kryptonian, is it? But you'll find yourself happy you did! :)

Mmm, soul bonds, especially reluctant ones, are awe-inspiring, and I like what you did with this one! The animosity between the two seemed very sincere and real, which made the difficulty of the bond all the more realistic and compelling, and the relief at the end sharper.

The soft stroking, the slow opening of a door in his mind and the gentle wind that passed through, was his only response.

Beautiful as always!

Thanks so much, Jen. I should have spent more time on this, and I feel bad about that, but I procrastinated too much and was somewhat busy. But I am glad I was able to submit *something* for the contest, and might even fix this story (ouline, really) one day. ;)

Thanks again for reading!

LOL, so you're one of the people who voted for this story! Thank you so much, but I must say I'm surprised. I didn't even know what category to put this story in. You could say it's somewhat angsty, but it has a happy ending. There's some romance at the end; it was in the long category but it's really a short story. It just...fell in between a lot categories, and I wouldn't have been surprised if it had been ignored amid all the great entries in those categories.

The story is also missing a good working of the plot that I'd really like to rectify one day.

As for a sequel, what I might do is retell the story from someone else's perspective, like Superman or J'onn, to get more of the meat out there. I have to think about it.

Thanks so much for reading, and for voting, and for your lovely comments. Putting a face to one of the people who actually liked this story makes it more likely that I'll pick it up again. :)
