life these days
Well folks I know I have not posted an LJ in almost a year, but as I sit here bored at work manning the front desk I realize I read about your lives, and I haven't shared about me in quite sometime.
In December I finished my Masters, I almost didnt pass, I got by with the skin on my teeth. I was promoted to Athletic Supervisor, only because the guy offered the job was offered more money to stay where he is, so alas it became mine. Its not much of a pay raise, and its alot more work, and salaried, and I got a nextel/blackberry I always have to carry, but I am learning lots. So now I run Athletics, softball and flag football but I am starting a bunch of new programs: kickball, archery, youth start smart for preschool and some other stuff. I still work nights and weekends. Jess and I are renting a house together, trying to save on bills, but somehow I feel like I havent saved anything!
Im coaching Middle School lacrosse, I cant devote as much time as I want too, but I have a blast with my girls. Im playing softball 2 nights a week this season, so I really dont have much free time anymore. Speaking of softball I have a new boy, who I met at softball, his name is Ed and hes only 9 1/2 years older. But hes wonderful, hes a behavioral specialist in an elementary school, owns his own house, and treats me so well. I feel like I have known him forever.
Lastly I received my Certified Parks and Recreation Professional certification last week, so stoked its just 4 letters but it means alot in Recreation. Oh and Mom and I are going to Park City, Utah next month.
So thats it in a nut shell, nothing too exciting, just staying busy busy like a bee.
