I am still here in El Paso and most likely will be through February. I will alternately fly
badthumper and
belladonnareed down here for visits and sunshine vice flying home until this rotation is complete. This installation has some serious difficulties that must be addressed before we can actually start doing the work we were sent here to do, but my company and the Army both seem to be cool with a little mission creep. I for one don't mind helping get things set up in a good way down here, as opposed to doing something else where the weather is nastier.
I went skydiving again Saturday and completed my first jump from freefall. I am so loving the fact that there is a DZ here that I can utilize to work on getting my license, something I have mused about for a long time but am finally doing. Sunday was a lazy day - laundry and movies. I want to jump more but I have to be responsible with money and with my sometimes creaky joints.
There is not too much else to report from here. I miss my loves and my peeps. I hope everyone is well and I look forward to being home in early march.
