We are trying to save money by planning meals around what we have in the house and we still had a frozen turkey from last year, so... Jeff cooked a turkey dinner on Friday. We fixed all of the trimmings, including pumkin pie. We called it "Thanks-o-ween". In honor of Halloween, we went around the table and each person admitted a fear. Jeff is afraid of closed spaces, Jefferson is afraid Halloween will never come, I am afraid of bugs, Jo's friend (who spent the night) is afraid of things jumping out at her. We get to Jo and...
Jo: I have a pathological fear of tornados
Jeff and I: o__O
Jeff: Do you know what pathological means?
Jo: Yes. It means that I can't help it and it will never go away on it's own, it's just the way I am always going to be.
Jeff and I: shrug and concede that Jo does seem to know what it means
Me: Alrighty then. Please pass the stuffing.
