Recommendations?
Does anybody have any artist recommendations for HP or just general art that they like? I'm trying to find some cool pieces for the place I'm moving into. I've always wanted to adorn my walls with more than just film posters (not that those aren't cool, but I want a little variety).
I love Baz Luhrmann so that's a good starting point. His set design is probably one of the things that I'm most in love with... I would die to even get to walk around in front of some of the shards of leftover set from Moulin Rouge. I love night scenes, brilliant/deep colors, and dark backgrounds. Favourite colors? Red, violet, deep blue and green, etc.
Here's a video by a little Scottish guy, Tommy Reilly. His voice is really different and he writes all his own music/lyrics. I really enjoy his album and this is his new single. This is also an example of one of the only ways (in my opinion) that one should experience the countryside, moving fast, surrounded by bright colors and open space (why is it that I kind of hate the country in the US, but the moment I land in the UK, I could live outside in a big field and be thoroughly happy?):
