Rogue was practically bouncing. She wasn't going to worry about anything today. It was her and Erik's day. No Brotherhood issues, no insane mothers or other family members, no Rachel. Nothing. Just her with Erik. And she meant to make the most of it ( Read more... )

Rogue laughed, helping him up. "What that you totally tried to feel me up on a kiddie ride?"

She nearly purred and pressed herself up against him but stopped herself. There were children present. "Uh. Sorry. Make it up to ya, when we get back to the room," she promised, pressing a quick kiss to his lips. Pulling away with a groan.

"So. Where to next, hmm?"

"I was referring to my lack of balance. But feel free to make up to me whatever you wish." Erik looked with interest at the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride.

"Let's go on this one," he said impulsively. "I'll protect you from the giant squid."

Rogue laughed at his eagerness. "That works for me, Erik."

They got in line for the ride which was surprisingly long. "Did you ever read the book? It was a book right? I coulda sworn Momma read this an' talked about it with Oma."

She leaned against him, wrapping her arms around his waist. "I think she called it trite an' pathetic. Not that I ever give much merit to what she says." She looked up at him, ignoring the rather angry looks directed at them. "Well not everythin'."

"Your mother certainly has opinions," Erik said, and she hit him lightly in the stomach. "What, she does! And do you think this relationship with Sinister's assistant--do you think it's good for her?"

Erik waiting patiently in the line. This ride must be very exciting. It supposedly involved a submarine.

Rogue shook her head. "Someone's awful eager to do this ride."

She giggled as they inched closer. "How dissappointed are ya gonna be if'n it ain't meetin' your expectations?" she asked, rubbing his arm.

"It has a giant submarine and a sea monster," Erik informed her haughtily.

Twenty-five minutes later, they were out of the ride. Erik was scowling. "That was horrible. We need another exciting ride that actually moves. That was on a lever. A set of levers. It barely went down, Anna." He was incensed. "Perhaps we should try something else. I must say, I agree with your mother. If the book is as boring as that ride was."

Rogue laughed. "But it had a submarine and a sea monster," she protested, laughing even harder at his glare. "Sorry. Sorry."

She pressed herself against him, still unable to stop giggling. "How about Belle's storytime? No. I was kiddin', Erik." She held up her hands, moving out of his range.

"Its a small world?" She grinned evilly. "See Xavier's dream put to song!"

Erik snorted. "That was funny. Let's just keep walking around. I won't pick any more rides if they're as bad as that one."

Anna was better, but he was singularly unimpressed with Snow White's Scary Adventure ("not scary", Erik had informed her), though the ending of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride made him laugh. He hoped Toad decided to go on that ride.

Erik enjoyed Frontier Land, because there was a roller coaster. "Disney isn't much for the thrilling sorts of rides, is it?" He consulted his brochure. "We should have lunch. Then I wish to go to this animal theme park. That sounds much more exciting. Maybe we'll be chased by a lion."

"Uh huh. Like Disney is gonna let lions roam loose. An' I watched that special on the History channel or the Discovery. One of those. All the animals are kept away from ya. You just can't always tell is all." Rogue grinned, elbowing him in the side. "See tv does teach me things."

"But yeah. That sounds like a plan. Do you wanna do somethin' quick an' easy for lunch?" she asked, looking at the different places they were passing.

"I can do things with fences, woman," Erik said, catching her arm before she did further damage. "We could have lions on the loose if I wanted."

There was a nice little cafe that seemed to have all sorts of options. Erik scanned the menu. "I am going to have a hotdog. If you tell anyone, I will do something appropriately vicious and benefiting my status as one of the most dangerous men in the world. I read this in Time Magazine." He gave her an imperious look. "If you are good, you may have an ice cream treat."

Erik smirked at her. Something about this vacation was making him feel rather childish.

"How benevolent of ya." Rogue giggled, sipping her milkshake so that it made a noise. "An' ya ain't vicious, Erik. Ya do what ya have to for the good of our kind. So that one day lil'mutant kids can come an' enjoy Disney World without bein' hurt or not bein' allowed ta use their powers. Which is a stupid rule!"

She rolled her eyes theatrically. "I'm gonna have a hamburger, Mr. Vegetarian. If you're gonna have meat you might as well have the good stuff. Do ya even know whats in a hotdog?" She shuddered. "Beast tol' me once."

"It is a stupid rule." Erik used his power to bring a fork to him, for no other reason than because he could. "And I am glad you no longer think of me as a monster." He reached out and grabbed her milkshake, stealing some of it. "I want to go on the pirate ride."

Rogue perked up considerably. "Yes, please. They redid the ride a little cause of the movie. Ya can actually see Cap'n Jack Sparrow an' some of the others."

She grinned, and playfully edged her foot up his thigh. "I liked him."

"Did you? Is there the buxom young woman, somewhere in the ride? I quite liked her." Erik raised his brow. "Although I don't have much objection to Captain Sparrow, I rather fancied Norrington myself." He winked at her and finished his hotdog. It was horrible. He finished it with relish.
