Ever since her conversation with Magneto, Rogue had been feeling more confused than before. This past year had been fraught with more turmoil andupheavel than usual.
The mansion suddenly being guarded by Sentinels, getting her powers back, aquiring Sunfire's, Foxx -Mystique trying to seduce Remy, Gus, Remy becoming death, getting her own team...meeting Magneto in Lord and Taylor and accepting his dinner invitation. She shook her head and sat down on the bed, looking perplexed at the packages strewn about her and started wrapping.
Leaning back, she pressed play on her stereo and sighed as Martina McBride's voice filled the room. Rogue hummed along with the music, carefully wrapping and adorning the various presents with ribbon and bows. She'd put a lot of thought into each present, sometimes more than she would have liked and hoped they were appreciated by everyone. Her gaze fell on the box nearest her and she kneaded her bottom lip. Inside lay a soft grey scarf and a hat with flaps, similar to the one on her dresser but this one was red. She wasn't even going to buy Magneto a gift but she'd gone back to Lord and Taylor to buy something for Jean and had seen them. They'd made her think of him, which she wasn't thrilled with. She shouldn't be considering the X-Men's enemy unless it was in battle strategies or concerning nefarious plans that he might be concocting.
Sighing, she wrapped it but held off on a bow and ribbon and slid the package under her bed. Like Ray did with Sinister's... She shook her head. No, this was nothing like that, except that it was. Frowning, she turned the music up louder, hoping the words would drown out her thoughts and forced herself to sing along. Dwelling never helped anyone.

Later that day, Rogue places the presents under the tree and then goes to the garage, ready to lose herself in the parts of a carburetter.
Mystique--a photo album with a picture of their team that one of the students had snapped. Attached to the picture is a sticky note. 'Prove me wrong--R'
To the rest of her team she's given gift certificates to the mall, except for Creed. She bought him a new leash and a book on getting along with others. And Sam received a box of instant grits.
Rachel--cds she'd seen Ray look at when they went shopping and a large mug with the note 'So we stay away from coffee shops' attached to it.
Scott--a stack of dvds she thought he'd enjoy
Emma--long white silky opera gloves. If there is one thing Rogue knows, its gloves, and they looked like something Emma would wear.
Hank--the latest edition to a scientific book she'd heard him babbling about at dinner one night

She sends Jean's to Warren's house in Paris, since that's where Jean was supposed to be going. Its a simple set of ruby earrings and a pair of red gloves along with a note promising that she hasn't forgotten their plans to shop.
