Abby was getting ready for work when her computer chimed, telling her she had an email. Her brow furrowed as she read the email from Erik. It wasn't something she had expected. She gnawed on her lower lip as she replied back, hoping but not knowing if he'd get it.

I'm not sure what to say besides thank you. Not just for the money...just for...you know. I fucking suck at these kinds of things. Uhm...I hope I'll see you again too. Hopefully soon...ish. I mean it sounds like you're not planning on the soonish part.

I hope it's a better future for both of us too. I won't deny that you're my father. Not if any one asks because you haven't denied me. I won't write the press either. At least not until you're in a situation that doesn't sound so very fucking 'famous last words'.
