I swear I did not put those there,, Illyana thinks to herself, heart beating loudly in a chest that suddenly feels too tight.
The things on Illyana's desk have been rearranged. She's sure of it. She keeps pictures tucked into the frame of her mirror: pictures clipped from magazines, the things Todd has drawn for her, a clipping of John in the paper, photographs of her family. Several have been disturbed - a photo of Piotr and herself not lays in the center of her desk. Her sewing needles are spread all over the desktop, and pins have been stuck into the eyes of the figures in the photograph.
"I did not DO that," she whispers aloud. Her face is pale and a cold sweat has broken out on her back. "I did NOT."
She knows she didn't. So the question that remains, and this is what truly scares her, is if she didn't do it... what did?
