TM Prompt #358: Abnormal
Abnormality is whenever something deviates from the norm.
I guess I am pretty damn abnormal, then.
This used to bother me. When I first came to America, I wanted very much to be like every other girl. I wanted to go shopping and date boys and learn to do my hair and makeup. I wanted to be a good girl. Nice and normal.
Now I ask... who gives a shit? Being normal is lacking in courage. Also it is boring. Yes, please, let me giggle whenever a boy says something about my breasts, and let me buy a lot fo stuff I do not want or need, and let me chain my heart to another person's and simper over babies and get a mortgage and pay taxes. CAN I PLEASE?

I was a little girl in so many ways. A selfish, naive little girl.
It is better to embrace what you are than to run from it. It is better to fight for your true self than to cloak it in meaningless shit. To be a freak among freaks is oddly liberating.
My stupid cat is pretty abnormal too, but he sure is cute. So it can't be all bad.
