TM Prompt #239: Hair

Jul 24, 2008 23:50

Magic is contagious.

Everything that was ever a part of you stays a part of you. Teeth, sweat, semen, blood, hair. Hair is good because it is very easy to get without raising any questions. A woman MIGHT wonder why you are rooting through her trash looking for her used sanitary napkins, but you can collect hair by simply borrowing someone's comb for a moment. Pick, pick, pick... there you go. You now have a link to that person.

Hair is nice to work with. You can burn it, slip it into bottles, wind it around a candle. I know a spell to make a man wither where you take a lock of his hair and coat it with clay. This you then hang inside the chimney, and as the heat dried the clay your victim would dry up too.

It is thought that if birds make nests with your hair you will go insane.

You should not cut your hair when pregnant (your baby will strangle in the cord) and you should not cut it when a member of your family is in danger, either.

I have very long hair. I am careful with it, and when I do magic I tie it up and cover it with a cloth. I would not want my own hair to fall into a potion. That could have very bad effects indeed! I could hurt myself, or make someone fall in love with ME! That is not what I would want at all.

Magic is contagious.
