I was going to say "style", but then I remembered the guy I was trying to talk into siring me before Angel staked him a couple of years ago, and Harmony Campbell. Not to mention dear old Luke. Meanwhile, I have to admit that Cordelia at her most saintly (this would be the time where I showed up pregnant at the Hyperion and she offered me something to drink) always knew how to dress, so clearly, one can't use this particular set of criteria.
In all seriousness, though: my own definition of heroism and villainy has always been limited to: how does either quality affect me? Which admittedly is a narrow point of view, but then, I have never claimed to be the visionary in the family. On that note, one of the bravest, most heroic people I've known is a teenager who didn't hesitate to befriend a stranger with a completely accurate reputation for cruelty, and put up with ghosts, possessions, shoot and rescue scenarios and repeated changes of location as a consequence. She is certainly my personal hero.
