Ready for Color Challenge 02? Get inspired to write a one-shot fic by using any of the pictures below. Your fic can be any rating, any pairing, any genre - any anything!
I've got ideas from two prompts. They can be written as seperate stories, or as two chapters of one, or even just one slightly longer story.
How is the best way to handle this? I think it would be a better story if is was done as one piece and frankly I have no desire to run against myself in a contest.
- 8. You may enter as many as three unique pieces to each challenge, unless otherwise stated in the individual challenge prompt. These uinque pieces could be an entire mutli-chapter story, a one-shot, or a drabble. Of course, the challenge prompt may specify which form the story must be in. That being said, individual chapters are not considered as unique pieces. -
But according to the rules of this challenge, only one-shots are permitted. Since you plan to use two prompts, not one, both should be separate one-shots.
Question on rule #8. Am I allowed to post the two stories together on other sites. They are going to work best together and if I can only post them seperately other places too, I my not enter the second story.
I know, I'm being too specific with the rules. My work life is run by them. When it's just me I don't bother so much, but this is a contest and others are affected.
I know seperate chapters of the same story aren't allowed as seperate stories...it's messing with my head.
After all the go-round on my part about the second prompt, I was never able to get the story finished in time. I lost two-thirds of it when my hard drive crashed a week ago today. I've been able to reconstruct three or four pages and am working from there.
To me the idea is what's important. I'll write it and post it else where, but I'll give you the credit for the prompt. Unless things change it will be in the second/last chapter of Survival With Power and Grace - The Quality of Mending. If I discover it really doesn't work like I think it will, that chapter will still be posted, but I'll write a separate stand-alone for the lipstick.
Sorry for going long, but I'm so thrilled to be getting the hang of my new computer!

Rules are meant for challenging, anyway. How's that saying go? No woman ever changed the world by obeying the rules. ;)
