The inspector was here yesterday to check out my A/C unit. He was not happy. They didn't put a long enough condensation pipe on, had not upgraded the circuit for the heating element and worst of all secured it only to a lightweight platform but NOT hurricane strapped it to the pavement. Not good. I do not want my A/C unit being blown into the lake by the next hurricane coming through. He will be writing a report and the installers will have to come back out to fix the problems.
The complex just renewed the trapping permit to get rid of the alligator that has been making our lakes home for the last nearly a year. Some of us don't want to see him go as he hasn't been a problem. No one lets their dogs loose, there are no little kids living here and when they visit the grandparents know to keep them away from the water. None of us goes in the water and it is clear quite far out so you could see it if he was in the water near shore. He has become kind of a mascot for some of us here. Granted he is a big boy, 7-8 feet long but he seems quite content to just swim around and sun on the shore and eat fish.
