I'm not very good about updating...
So, it's been awhile since I've really updated. So, here's a brief scoop. I'll try to post more tomorrow. (Also, I read LJ every day... I don't know why I don't post more often!)
I'm job hunting again. The job I had at ThyssenKrupp is no longer. They had some budget cuts and decided to eliminate my position. I've known for a little over a month that November 16th would be my last day. I was cut from 20 hours a week there to 8 for the last 6 weeks or so I was there. I've been looking for something else since they told me.
I had a job interview last Monday but still have not heard back about it. It's part-time still, but that's what I'm looking for. It sounds like a really excellent fit for me and I really want it. When I interviewed on Monday she said she'd have a decision by Friday. Friday rolled around and I hadn't heard from her, so I gave her a call. As of Friday afternoon she still had not made a decision. I really want this job and just hate sitting around waiting. I don't have a good feeling about it anymore. I did have a good feeling about it when I left the interview... but now, not so much.
I'm not totally without income though. I'm still teaching at the studio and in Allen Park. And my supervisors in AP have been good about finding extra things for me to do to get a few extra hours. But, I really need something steady.
I've decided to go back to school in the Fall. As long as I can find the money. I'm going to go through filling out my FAFSFA and all that jazz. Hopefully there is scholarship/grant money out there for me. I'll do loans too, but I'd rather free money. I've decided to go into Accounting. I really enjoyed the work I did at TK and I'm good with numbers so... Plus, there are always jobs in that field - even in Michigan.
So, that's about it. Matt and I are still good. :-) I'm having a birthday party on Saturday at his house and that's all that's new.
