(no subject)
Yesterday was a nice day. I had a hankering to play monopoly, but Aaron was sleeping, so Jim showed me a website we could play it together on, so I registered and kicked his ass at it ;P I spent most of the day chatting with him, kay, and big B.
Once Aaron got home from his meetings, we went to go visit the crazy bird lady and ask her about a good bird vet. After that, we went to dinner at Bonedaddy's - Aaron wanted some scenery, and I hadn't been there before. (For those of you who don't know what Bonedaddy's is - it's a restaraunt that employs only waitresses, who wear short shorts and cute little busty shirts, with frilly ankle socks and mary jane heels. It's kinda like hooters, but concentrates on the whole body, not just the.. well, hooters ;p ). The food was kinda crappy, they soaked everything in BBQ sauce, and it was really loud and freezing (intentional, I'm sure), so we probably won't go there again anytime soon - but it was nice for us to get to oggle the cute chicks. hehehehehehe
Hmm...not much has been going on since my last entry. Aaron's been a little down, since he broke up with her last week. But he's improving, which is good. I sent out a crapload of resumes, but haven't heard anything back yet. Snookums has been chewing on his feet lately, and they are starting to get raw in spots, so that's why I needed to find a vet. I just called the one the crazy bird lady recommended a moment ago, and I have an appointment for him today at 4:00. I'm really hoping he's okay :( I don't know what I'd do without snook :/
My birthday's tomorrow, but we're not going to do anything. Aaron's been really busy finishing up a couple projects at work, so we're going to wait to celebrate until after the 15th, which I thought was wise anyway. Whenever my birthday is not only on a weekend, but on the day before Easter; it sucks to go out and do stuff because everything is busy. It works out, too, since I haven't really decided 100% on what I want to do. If my parents come through and get me oldnavy gift certificates like I wanted, then perhaps some shopping will be in order. Beyond that, I dunno. I'll probably fall back on my default idea of seeing a few movies in the theatre. :P
I've got my hand in a bunch of little projects, and have been finishing them slowly, jumping from one to another to do a little bit more work on them, then moving to the next one again. I've got the friends studies, a cage cover for snookums, a small plaster firehouse I'm painting for my grandma's christmas village set, a small jewelery box I'm painting for my niece, the quiz for the boards, and I've been working on getting my own board made :)
I'll probably write a couple more of the studies on my friends soon, I have one I need to critique and two others to write. I'm also thinking about converting my dream journal into a dream and misc writing journal, since I don't write up my dreams that often - but I do want to get back into writing short stories and poems and such. Hopefully Aaron will have a chance to take a look at the code for my board today or tomorrow, I really want to get started on that. I'm almost completely done with the quiz, I'm just waiting for Kay to send me her answers again, since I lost her original ones on accident like a dolt :/
Other than that.. life is pretty slow.
