Well, it certainly was a historic night. And the American people have spoken and chosen their leader for the next 4 years. While it seems that neither candidate truly made everyone happy, the results are in, and here we stand. I think that it is important that no matter who our vote went to on November 4th, that starting November 5th, we being to finally come together as a nation and rally behind each other to solve our country's problems. It's important to remember that this election has shown one thing, and that is, the voice of the American citizen will always be heard. No matter who are leaders our, change begins and can happen with us. No matter what our party affiliation may be, or what our personal point of view is, it is time for America to stand for something again. A president does not make this country, we make this country. Our differences may not be settled in the next 4 years, or even more. This new administration may come and go, and our problems might still remain. What the future holds for us, we will never know until we arrive there. All that matters is it is time to unite again, as Americans, and remember that we not only stand for ourselves, but for our neighbor.
I know this probably doesn't mean much of anything to you, but I just feel like it's time we all start giving each other a hand, and build each other up rather than break each other apart anymore. What our country needs is bigger than campaign slogans, mavericks, underdogs, or the promise of hope or change. Change is not brought on by politicians, it is brought on by our own will.
We can all sleep a little easier tonight if we all sleep knowing that tomorrow, we start to build ourselves back up together. Not for one person, not for a campaign, but for us all.
Thank you. GOD bless us all & America
