Pride Weekend and "Friends"
Friday:
Hey Seattle Bitches!!! Get right and come kick off your Pride weekend proper at the Seattle Eagle! I'll be providing blowjobsmusical attitude adjustment from 10pm - 2am.
There's a new addition to the Seattle Eagle, a go-go cage that's been appalingly empty. So... No CeCe Peniston in this house! Bands performing on Saturday include Stink Mitt, Ms. Led, LD & Her Pretty Pretties, Dan Deacon, and the amazing queen of the gem sweaters, Leslie and the Lys!!!

The infectious and bouncy synth-pop masterpiece "Friends" comes from a well-loved musical duo that's been around for ages. No, we're not talking Erasure or the Pet Shop Boys. We're talking WEEN. Yes kids, "Voodoo Lady" and "Paint The Town Brown" Ween. They're back with an EP chock full of cheeky goodness, with a full album to be released this fall.
This song has alot of vintage late 80s/early 90s synth action going on ala Erasure and Alphaville, complete with utterly banal lyrics: "A friend's a friend who knows what being a friend is," totally blurring the line between homage and parody.
