FAQS/HOTEL INFO

If we haven't answered your question here, please feel free to contact a mod and ask away!

Q: I have a question/concern/comment for the mods. How do I get a hold of them?

A: Cee is the main mod and not to be bothered lightly. Most questions and comments can be stuck right in the weekly event posts, or addressed to either of the co-mods, Elf and Rem.

Q: Do I/my character have to be a certain age to play here?

A: You, the mun, must be 18 or older to play here. However, there is no age minimum to your character. Though we'd recommend if you have an underage character, to warn people in your posts, as it squicks some people.

Q: I'm new. Do I have to post anything special?

A: Welcome to the community, and not at all! You can get right to posting! However, please note there is NO 'intro' tag, but you're free to put 'intro' anywhere in your post or subject line if you feel like it!

Q: Are there any kinks that aren't allowed?

A: As long as it's not against the ToS, it's A-OK here! Feel free to do whatever nasty things you want. However, you must still observe common courtesy and not force anything on another player's character unless you have their permission. If you do something like that, they have every right to ignore you and stop posting (this includes those wonderful trolls). Also, you'd do well to warn people what you plan (if you think it's extreme even by internet standards, or otherwise if you feel like it) in the first post, in case someone gets squicked by whatever you're doing. Also, a note: A legal character having sex with an underage character is NOT against the ToS, so please don't try to start a riot and report us 9,000 times. It won't work. :)

Q: What sorts of amenities are in the Hotel itself?

A: Anything you want! Seriously. All you have to do is make a post, describe what room/thing your character has found, and it's there! (For that post and its threads only however, unless it's from an event) You can find hot tubs, bondage gear, or a crazy rave party room. The sky's the limit! Also, there IS an outside to the hotel. There's a beach, a nice park area (or anything else to fit your needs), and around it all, a huge forest. Anyone who strays too far into the forest will just come right back to the beginning, so no one can escape :c Disclaimer: Any casualties as a result of the Great White Gant in the pool are not the responsibility of the Hotel. You've been warned.

Q: Do I have to participate in an event?

A: Nope! You're free to make a plain post if you want. Just make sure you mention if you ARE evented or not in your post, for clarity's sake c:

Q: How do I properly tag my entries?

A: Easy! First, check the list of tags (along the left side of the main view; they're in alphabetical order) and see if your series already exists. If it does, great! That's all you need. If it doesn't, make a new one! Please note, the format is 'series: _____'. No player tags, no series tags without that format, and nothing else. Ever. Or we'll find you. Seriously though, it'll just get deleted if it isn't in that format, and then you won't be able to find your entries as easily :c Also, if there are two entries for your series (as some people make the mistake of making another with different spelling) choose whichever one you want. Eventually we might get to consolidating those, but in the meantime, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T MAKE NEW TAGS WITH SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT SPELLING. If it's a different series altogether, sure! But not otherwise. It'll save us (and you) a lot of trouble in the long run c:

As of January 2011, we also allow (but do not require) tagging posts for desired pairing. You can read up on it here but the tl;dr is:

pairing: ___ / ____

where the first blank shows the gender of the OP/requester and the second blank is what they're looking for. So posts should be tagged pairing: m/f if they're posts featuring a male character looking for female characters.

Q: Do you guys need any more mods?

A: At the moment, we're doing just fine on our own, thank you! We won't need any more mods in the foreseeable future, and if we did, we already have people that can help out. But thanks for asking c:

Q: OMGWTFBBQ. TROOOOOOOOOOOLLS. IN THE DUNGEONNNNNNNNNNN D:

A: Yes, they come around once in awhile. While we're generally aware of them quite quickly thanks to our wonderful members, it's best to just ignore them until they get bored and move on. We'll clean it up as soon as we can! And if that's not absolutely right away, there's definitely a reason for it c: So just chill, maybe reverse-troll them if you want. But don't take it personally, as that never ends well ♥

Q: Hi. I'm a Moral Guardian, and I think your community is depraved, despicable and unholy. I'm going to complain now!

A: It's very nice of you to check out our community, but it's probably best if you just leave if you're offended by it. As you can probably see, we thrive on all those delicious, unholy things that squick you, but we understand that not everyone does. However, you'll get farther by just ignoring us than you will complaining, as you'll be ignored and/or ridiculed. This goes for any squicks you see played here that you don't personally believe in - if it's not against the ToS, your complaint will be ignored. And you will be promptly ridiculed. You've been warned! c:
