I've been working on a short documentary for my visual storytelling class. It's about my transition. It has to be between 10-15 minutes. It's not typical documentary style. It's more abstract. We (my co producer and I) used Fellini's 8 1/2 and Pi as inspiration. The professor watched our first 5 minutes a couple of weeks ago and lets just say she needed some tissue. :) Also, she said she definitely felt the Fellini influence. I will post it in segments on here when finished. She also suggested we enter it in film contests/fests. I would love to...any suggestions? Also, we or I plan to continue to work on it next year as an independent study with my visual storytelling prof. I will say it really has been an emotional process working on it. I've had to feel a lot and work through a lot. I am also slowly using it to let go of her (natasha). the girl I was. I am saying bye to everything about her in a really nice tribute way.

Onto software, Has anyone used CS5 yet? I think this by far the biggest, best update for Adobe since the start of the CS series. I am utterly astonished at the ease of creating interactivity in InDesign. They are truly giving the print designer more options.
Overall, I am thinking of abandoned Flash/actionscript for awhile and diving into HTML. I recently got my first professional freelance job to build a website and I used Flash and found it to be incompatible with A LOT of stuff (thank, jesus for google docs, they saved my life). I love the freedom in design with Flash but for practical purposes it's lacking for me. Anyways, I got a sweet amount of money for the website and I am hoping to get more work through the same contact.

I love simplicity in design and that's what I was going for here.
