Hooray for Selena's stepdad and his advocacy for his daughter. However, I am pretty surprised the district relented. Often the higher ups never see grey in matters like this. It is much easier to say, "Rules are rules." This way they are covering themselves and preventing other parents from using the incident as a precedent. As for Selena, her behavior was innocent, in my view, and the whole matter should have never gone that far.
