You... are almost a loser. Almost.

Even though I was effectively destroyed in air hockey, basketball, skee-ball, pool, and darts, I again had a great night. I think this new attitude is really working wonders for my spirits. It has really hit me over the past couple of weeks just how wonderful a group of friends that I have built up. And though I still may not have a job (though ( Read more... )

skee ball? ohmigosh! where did you play? i love skee ball. i think it should be an olympic event. but no fun places around here that i can find ... maybe i'm not looking in the right spots?

We played at the wonderful Fun Spot, which is about as ghetto as you can get when it comes to skee ball. But hey, skee ball is skee ball. We're due for a rematch so if you'd like to join us, you're more than welcome. I was a stranger to her too until she killed me in every game that night. :)

And thank you... always gotta find the bright spots, you know?

ah, the internal battle. i'm very shy and not likely to venture to meet new folks like that.

but, this is skee ball. if you're going to venture, skee ball is a fine draw.

i just may take you up on it!

Understood. But you needn't worry, I'm really ok. I've met half of my friends list so if you'd like, I can get them to vouch for me. :)

I'm not a pest and I would certainly never force anyone to meet me... though really, you'd be silly not to... I'm great. ;) That being said, I will let you know when we are going and you can decide from there. No pressure. Just a couple of nice, competitive homos. :)

Ha! Actually, I'm a lot more modest than you'd ever imagine. Not shy, but not as "out there" as I type. :)

Sure, sure. Just trying to tone it down, I can tell.

My guess is, no one tells you that you need to come out of your shell. No?

Actually, people have told me that. :) You'd be surprised, I really do tend to be more reserved than I come across on this thing. I like to laugh, like to joke, like to have fun... but I tend to do it in a quiet, unassuming manner. Swear. :)

I'll believe ya.
I think I understand. I can be a hoot with my friends, or in small groups. But new people? Scary. Large groups of new people? Very scary. I get mum.

There ya go... you've got it. New people don't frighten me though... in my line of work (well, former work!), I had to meet and talk to new people all the time. I actually prefer it sometimes to old people... less expectation. :)

By the way, do you have a name by chance? I feel weird commenting back and forth to someone and not even knowing their name!
