Don't be surprised if it happens

After I spent a summer in Seattle, I said that I would try to visit at least once a year. When I said that it was more wishful thinking than anything. I knew that money and time (assuming that I would have a full-time job...ha) would most likely prevent me from making the yearly trip. Last year I made the trip thanks to my parents who paid for it as a graduation gift. It's getting close to a year since I made that trip and guess what...I'm going to be in Seattle in a few days! I'm still kind of surprised.

My good friend Juanita is moving to Sequim, Wash. and she asked me to accompany her on the drive from Chico (she's paying for my flight back home). I'm really sad that she will be two states away, but glad that I will get the time to spend with her on the drive.

My dad is going to drive me to Chico tomorrow and then Juanita and I leave Monday morning. Before leaving Chico we're going to have breakfast at Cafe Coda because the food there is just too good! There will be a stop in Portland for the night and then on Tuesday we'll have about 4 hours until Sequim. On Thursday we'll go to Seattle with her friend Jenny (who Juanita will live with in Sequim). Juanita has never been to Seattle so I'll probably take her to Pike Place Market and Capitol Hill.

My flight home isn't until Saturday morning so I'll be staying with Ashley. I'm really excited to see her and the rest of the Chalet girls. I didn't get to see Colleen last year, but I'm pretty sure she'll be having dinner with us on Friday, along with Rose and Catherine, who will just happen to be in Seattle that week! So perfect. Vivian told me about a free Helio Sequence show taking place Thursday night. So hopefully I can meet her there early enough before the venue reaches capacity. Rose already said that she'd be interested in attending the show too! It just wouldn't be the same if I was in Seattle and I didn't see some form of live music. :)

It'll be a short stay in Seattle, but I'm excited. Now I just have to pack and get some fun music together for the drive.
