Too bad I didn't know you when I lived in Rancho Bernardo...
At least you managed to escape. :) (Especially these last two weeks; it's been brutally hot and humid up there.)
I'm not all that keen on RB, really. There are some restaurants that I like going to for lunch, but would readily trade that for a shorter commute: Ocean Beach to Rancho Bernardo is about 25 miles each way.
Our office is getting moved at the end of this year, though -- we'll either end up in Carlsbad or down on the 56. The latter is a smidgen further for me (about 5 minutes' worth) but opens the possibility of going to Pizza Port for lunch. Very dangerous! Options on the 56 are closer but more boring. Hm.
Anyway, I guess I'll just have to settle for getting to see you when I make it up there to visit jinglechelle and her happy family -- but if you and Brother Motorcult make it down here to San Diego, you're welcome to crash here. :)
Ha. Yes, it's an interesting mix between young tech-heads (driving their M3s if they're so inclined) and the bluehairs driving their land yachts (or their broken-down old Hondas with "Bush / Cheney!" stickers on them ... yeah, what has the radical right done for you lately?).
Cheap sushi, though ... *ears perk up*. Where?
My favorites are Fin's (SE corner of Bernardo Center and Camino Del Norte) and (sigh) Baja Fresh in the Von's plaza near Bernardo Center and Rancho Bernardo...
Sorry you had to move back to SLO for such an unfortunate reason, but yay for spending more time with the lovely group up there. :)
