Well, now that that is out of the way, how has everyone been? For myself, I am realizing the benefits and downfalls of going to Clemson. First, the good news is that when it snowed on Thursday, we got school off. Now, this snow wasn't a freak blizzard and we weren't exactly in a life or death situation. However, the sidewalks were moderately slippery, so being in the south, all functions cease to work. The only bad part was that the dining halls kept all the trays in the kitchen, so we couldn't steal any and use them as sleds (or toboggans which is my prefered diction).
The bad news is that a couple Clemson students threw an off-campus gangsta themed part. If you haven't already heard about this here's the link:
http://www.cnn.com/2007/EDUCATION/01/31/clemson.party.ap/index.html Now, I'm not going to make any dramatic or controversial statements because that's really not in my nature, but it just makes my university look really horrible. This unfortunate event is really going to diminish African-American kids from applying to the university, and if there is one thing Clemson needs it's more diversity.
On a happier note, the Super Bowl is tomorrow...and for the first time in a while, I really don't care who wins. I just have no real lean toward either team, so I hope the game is good. Yes, I realize how pathetic this paragraph was. I didn't even really state anything worthwhile, oh well.
Take it easy everybody.
