Question for my Star Trek friends (and anyone else who wants to weigh in!)
I have signed up for the au_bigbang and I'm planning to write an Hawaii 5-0/ Starfleet fusion kind of thing. For one of my plot points, I was wondering if you thought cadets in the Captain-track would know the cadets in the Engineering-track. (I'm pretty sure that's not what they are really called but I think you know what I mean.)
If, for instance, Scotty had attended at the Academy at the same time as Jim Kirk, would they have had a lot of classes together? A few classes together? No classes together? (I'm not planning to have any of the Star Trek peoples in the story except for possibly mentioning them in passing. Don't think that matters but just so you know.)
