My Christmas Wish List

Christmas Wish List

I saw this on a friend's journal and thought 'why not?' So here it is:

Instructions:
Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Steve/Danny icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for Reboot Action Figure") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics, icons, e-cards, ect), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
- Surf around your friends list (or friends friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Newfoundland for free, let your heart guide you.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out - it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not - that's up to you.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

  1. I wish that everyone would be a little kinder to each other. We should let the person with a gallon of milk to get in front of us at the grocery store. Smile at people we don't know. Let the person waiting to turn left get out before we go by. Return our grocery carts to the corral and take the one that the mother of the small child used.
  2. I want everyone to tell those who are most important to them just that. Never take it for granted that they know how you feel!
  3. I would like for my stories to inspire someone to make art just for them.
  4. I would really like a copy of Photoshop so I can make my own wicked-cool icons.
  5. I would to be hired for paying editing jobs or referrals to those who need content help on their websites. Since I quit my job to freelance, freelance jobs would be really really helpful!
  6. Recipes for relatively easy dinner meals. Being the stay-at-home one, making dinner is part of the deal. But I am a pretty horrible cook. That whole ADD thing kicks in.
  7. I want us all to accept ourselves and each other just the way we are with no labels and no preconceived notions of what is 'normal.'
  8. I have a very tiny Amazon list here
  9. I really need a new MacBook Pro. Mine isn't going to last much longer.
  10. Or I would take an iPad. I'm easy.
  11. I wish that anyone who takes the time to read this knows I appreciate it. And I will happily accept wishes for a very Merry Christmas. Those could be sent to tkeylasunset at yahoo dot com.

There is a community for posting them as well: wish_list
