1) I'm thinking of participating in the fest. It's for crafty people and I certainly qualify!! Check it out if you think you're interested.

2) My sister and I went to see The Lone Ranger. (She loves Johnny Depp, just FYI.) She loved the movie. I found it overly violent and way too complicated. I can understand why it has gotten negative reviews. It can't decide if it's a kids movie or a movie for adults. It kind of ends up being neither.
Have y'all seen it? If so, what did you think?
3) A question I've been contemplating for a little while:
Now that DOMA has been struck down (which in case you aren't aware - this means gays can marry and be afforded spousal Federal benefits: basically it's a huge step forward in the progress of equal rights for everyone regardless of sexual orientation) do you think there will be more openly gay characters in "popular" media? More gay characters on mainstream TV shows in particular? It'd be nice if this allows those doors to open, wouldn't it?
