Life Update
Thank you to everyone who sent and is sending positive vibes our way!! My sister is pretty okay today. She has an interview coming up so that helps.
We've decided to seriously pursue opening our own business. I'll keep you posted on how that goes.
In the US Mail today, I got 2 interesting pieces of mail. The first one is a jury summons. I served on a jury 3 or so years ago! Isn't it someone else's turn? At least it's after classes are over. That's a good thing.
The second piece of mail was a letter from the college telling me I had been chosen to receive the Curriculum Award for my program. The instructors have to nominate you for the award!!! I cannot believe they chose me!! I am astounded. There are people in the program who are so much better at it than I am. But they chose me!!
The Award ceremony is in a couple of weeks. I'm pretty excited about it!!! (I had considered quitting school because I didn't feel like I was "getting it." Apparently I was wrong! If I get offered a job, though, I'll have to rethink the entire thing.)
So there is good in my life!! The dogs are fat and sassy. They love us unconditionally. And the place where my sister was working was toxic. She needed to get out for a while.
