I agree, that dress is very unflattering on Donna. I don't know how they could have picked a worse one for her. I can see the Moment wanting Donna to wear it hoping that it will make the Doctor think that Donna is frumpy. It's too late for that though, he's already in love with her.

I love Agatha Christie! I'm so happy you decided to write this story. She's one of my favorite authors. I'm especially proud of the fact that I got my sons hooked on her writing as well.

I suspect that they didn't want to make Donna look too beautiful, else they would've HAD to admit that they'd created a situation that was ready to cross into actual mates territory. (And I know CT has stated she loved that Donna was a companion NOT in love with the Doctor. There's a difference between love that feels naturally unfolding and being told that two people are in love.)

Oh, good on you! Hope you like the rest of the story!

So was it actually the Moment that chose the dress since the Doctor noticed that it didn’t flatter Donna as well as a different outfit would have?

And for added charm, someone had thought to put up a few Christmas decorations in preparation for the coming season. Chains of golden bells lined the ceiling and palladians, and a small pine tree in the corner had been festooned with lengths of pearls, handmade wooden ornaments, glass baubles and tiny candles that were as yet unlit.

“Wow, that is beautiful,” Donna murmured.

“I agree,” the Doctor said. “Better than anything I've seen of late. Maybe it's time to complete the adjustments I started as the last me.”They’re going to finish up the TARDIS’ interior design?! Will Donna and the TARDIS get to weigh in? I think that in this series version of The Runaway Bride that Donna had noticed that the design didn’t seem to have a woman’s touch, so I am wondering how her being Eight’s companion, them being in love with each other, and the TARDIS loving her Thief and Heartfire might influence ( ... )
