Writer's Block: Born to be wild
In honor of my 18th birthday, my friends organized a surprise Star Trek themed party. I'd been trying to organize my own party, and no one was available. So imagine my shock when I arrived a friend's house, thinking it would just be the two of us chatting about Trek stuff, and there was a slew of them shouting "Surprise!" My parents were in on it, which finally explained a few things I'd noticed but hadn't commented on.
Aside from going out to a few bars on my 21st (which actually wasn't a great day for me), birthdays haven't been really special days since that party back in Oregon. We'll see about next year and all the years after...
