He was describing the woman's fertility? Since when was he interested in that? Only Donna could produce such a reaction (the others were too twiggy, in fact...). His description of the music and the Human obsession with sex, etc. cracked me up; he's right, though. All that talk about riding disco sticks, touching junk... eww, when you think about it.
Of course her friends were her worst critics; I got the impression her friends weren't really nice. And the Graske knew he was a Time Lord by smell; shame, it seems every other species other than Human has a highly developed sense of smell.
So the ukulele was needed to give her something so he'd return, or did he actually make music with it? And what kind of dancing would tear holes in his coat? What was that scent on his coat if it wasn't the alcohol? I had my suspicions on that, especially when he thought she put something in his pocket. Pockets are good!
On to Ten and Donna. So he is beginning to suspect that she was the woman in the bar... I thought his memory was better than that, and Donna would certainly be memorable! He never bothered to look and see what she left him? And now we know what that scent was!
Wow! She gave him her underwear... that sends messages, doesn't it? Is there a matching teal chemise to go with it? I still remember that chemise making the rounds... Right, he must have given her the chemise to match. Oh, she's gonna be so embarrassed when he tells her. Is he really going to wait until her birthday? That might be fun, what's he going to give her as a present?
Lastly, I see that you mentioned he recognized her a bit, that he saw her in the Untempered Schism. Good to tie all of that together. Can't wait for the next part of this!

I think the fact that the woman's body triggered such notice from him surprised him. And... yeah.
I think we use so many scented products that we're making our own sense of smell weaker. A little time with the Doctor might change that.
Argh! He was supposed to play some music for her before they parted! Well, assume he did and got it back.
The second part will explain a bit more. In fact, I may pull it up and make a last-minute addition to correct for some missing elements.

I figured that sometime during their drinking, he might have played a little for her, and yes, I could imagine that his reaction upon first seeing her, with her hair lit by the sunlight, might have surprised him. I wonder if Ten will bring out the ukulele, too, in addition to returning her property. She might get a shock over this, as he did over realizing it was her.
Oh, and speaking of Eight's reaction to her, he also reacted to her dancing and mentioned that it seems that she was familiar with belly dancing. That takes incredible control, and I always imagined Donna would also be into yoga to keep herself limber. Yoga also takes control to do it right... especially the core muscles in the abdomen.
Alas, then, my response to your next chapter will have to wait until tomorrow night. I still can't wait; it's bound to be... interesting!
