On a non-spoiler note, there were some priceless ads. I saw a dancing Scot (no kilt, just civies or dance costumes), and another airing of the animals that talked. Gave me a laugh I needed.
[Where do I begin?]Where do I begin? I was a little disapointed that Susan Wright wasn't put through a worse wringer, but there's no doubt that she doesn't come off as

Chibnall is so going on my dartboard of shame. He now joins RTD, Moffat, and Erica Messer from Criminal Minds. I have the feeling I'll be adding the show runner from AKA Jessica Jones soon

Angry Tennant Fangirls... especially the older ones?
Oh... you mean the grownups! But yes, we don't want to see him go. He and Colman are what make the show. Their dynamic is fascinating to watch.
As for Jocelyn, she doesn't exactly make herself very likeable? She makes herself out to be a cold fish, so it's no wonder almost no one seems to actually like her. Barking orders at her junior without an explanation is bound to make him upset. That said, it does seem like he's rather apathetic about the case.
Yeah, I kinda dropped the ball on that. I refuse to accept that I'm a grownup. I kind of suck at being an adult.
I've been all angsty over the thought of Hardy dying on us. And, really, him dying on Miller. It's like I'm having that whole sit in a dark room and cry over a fictional character issue thing.
The only other person I've ever seen him have this dynamic is Catherine Tate. Not Billie, not Anna Gunn, not Sarah Parish, not Jessica Hynes. It's just so fraught with UST that I'm screaming, "Kiss her, you idiot!"
Jocelyn does not make herself likable or a sympathetic character. Now, I hate Sharon, but if half the things she said to her are true, she is a terrible person and a horrible boss.
Frankly, I'd like to see the mature-minded fangirls rise up and protest the favoritism shown toward the Holy Pink and Yellow One. The ones who focus on that aren't really Tennant fangirls. They're fangirls of Doctor/Rose. IMNSHO.
RTD and Moffat don't bother with cause and effect. Not ones that make any sense as a writer. Chibnall... I hate to say it, but I bet we can find the logic to it if we looked. And it would make sense story-wise, unlike the mess made in DW.
When a boss asks a lot of you without explaining it, it's natural to be resentful. Jocelyn's secrecy might hurt the case because it's alienating her colleague who she NEEDS on her side. I wonder if he's not attaching too much to the case because he's worried about what might happen.
