Well, we FINALLY have some stuff done for the wedding now!
We booked the hall this weekend- I'm really excited about it! It's a Knights of Columbus hall that is close to where we live. We went and looked at it a couple weekends ago, and it is GREAT! Much nicer than I was expecting, and really cheap too! I think it's going to be perfect!
Josh also ordered his wedding band yesterday (!!). He was so cute about it all night, too- he couldn't stop talking about it. He has been looking at them since we first got engaged, but was having a hard time choosing one. I'm so happy he finally decided! I can't wait until it gets here!
We also have lists of potential photographers, DJ's, and caterers made up. Now we just have to call them all to get their pricing and availability. Once we pick who we want to go with, we'll have most of the big stuff chosen! We'll only *really* have to find a ceremony location and an officiant after that. Sure, there are favors, invitations, flowers, decorations, etc., but that stuff is just "fluff" for us- we could still have the wedding and party without all of that if we had to!
I picked out bridesmaid dresses last week, too, and my sister and best friend both seemed to really like them! Yay! I was worried about that a little bit, because we have different tastes in clothing styles, but it seems everything is working out for us so far! I'm so thrilled!
I'm almost finished with my application for the ultrasound program, too! I did my job shadowing last week at a local hospital (which was almost a complete waste of time, but that's another story), and all I have left to do is write the essay about why I want to be a sonographer. Once I get that turned it, it's just a waiting game! It will be so nice to not have to worry about that anymore. Now if I could just quit procrastinating and WRITE THE DAMN THING ALREADY, I'd be good as gold. My goal is to finish it today before I'm done with work. Heh, stealing time from work is awesome.
I'm heading to Michigan on Friday. I am excited, but I'm a little stressed already because I know it's going to be like all my other trips have been, and I'm just not going to have enough time for everyone. Hopefully I'm wrong about that, though, and the whole trip will go perfectly. I am excited to see my pregnant sister and best friend though! Hopefully I can feel their babies kicking and such. :)
