I've been reading mostly essays and manga during the start of June. (I tried to read some poems, but I decided it'd be better to start with philosophical essays first before getting into the mystic writings.) Well, I mostly want to talk about the manga here~
I discovered Yamamoto Kotetsuko, a mangaka with beautiful BL works +_+ hehe. I like her series Like the Beast (honto yajuu) and Another Sleepless Night (konya mo nemurenai). The first one has policemen and yakuza, and the second story has demons! The "plots" themselves are interesting, and the characters seem pretty rational (as I've learned from the philosophical essays I've read). I'd like to read more chapters soon, but I'll just have to wait~
In other manga, I'm kind of upset with the latest development in Beelzebub.[Spoiler (click to open)]I wanted a chapter on Furuichi, but I guess he's out for the count for a few chapters. I think it would have been cool if his soul had been sent to Solomon Company or something instead of being eaten by the new bad guys! And as one comment about it posted, Oga needs to stop dicking around. But I guess the "seal covering his body" method of demon power release is too risky, despite it seeming more effective than Super Milk Time. But what is with this darn in-depth rant! I just like this series a lot, and I don't want the story's quality to decline! >4<
Well, the coming battles should end pretty quickly, or else Furuichi's soul will ascend, dammit! I'm not sure how that could be made very interesting, though, since I don't really like any of the new characters at all. Furuichi > all the new characters. Gosh, I'm starting to feel kind of freakish and nerdy.
Now, I wonder if I can get myself to post at least once a week? x)
